Asia and Its Islands
Asia is the largest continent in the world and has many beautiful islands. Some islands, like Borneo and Japan’s Honshu, are very large and have millions of people living there. Other islands, like the Maldives, are smaller and have fewer people. Across Asia, there are also thousands of tiny islands, some of which are uninhabited.
Asian islands are popular with tourists because of their beautiful beaches, clear water, tropical forests, and fascinating history. For example, travelers enjoy visiting Bali in Indonesia and Phuket in Thailand. Each island has its own culture, food, traditions, and sometimes even its own languages, even though many are part of the same country.
Traveling between islands is often easy because there are many ferries, boats, and small planes. If you want to relax, explore nature, or experience a different culture, an Asian island can be a wonderful place for a vacation.
