Several companies, including Brittany Ferries, Manche Îles Express and Islands Unlimited, run ferries to Guernsey from ports in England, France and Jersey.
The quickest option is the Jersey (St Helier) to Guernsey route, which takes around one hour and ten minutes, while sailings from St Malo take roughly two hours.
If you’re travelling from England, you can sail from Poole or Portsmouth, though the Portsmouth crossing is considerably longer, at around ten hours.
Cars are welcome on board, with Islands Unlimited offering car ferry crossings to the island.
Prices vary depending on the route, season and number of passengers, so it’s worth comparing operators and booking ahead to secure the best deal.
