Corsica
Corsica is a French island in the Mediterranean Sea. Mountains cover much of the island, and snow often lies on the highest peaks in winter. Dense scrub called the maquis fills large areas, and its scent is famous. Old stone towers built by Genoa stand along the coast. The capital, Ajaccio, is the birthplace of Napoleon Bonaparte.
